ZYBRID:
ZYBRID® touch sensors are based on Zytronic’s internationally award-winning projected capacitive technology (PCT™) The manufacturing technology employed for ZYBRID® is unique to Zytronic and offers significant benefits to traditional users of resistive, capacitive and SAW technologies. Unlike other touch technologies, the active component of ZYBRID® is embedded for protection, providing a true safety laminated pure glass fronted construction.

ZYPROFILM and ZYFILM:
ZYFILM® and ZYPROFILM® are flexible film touch panels incorporating ZYTRONIC’s patented projected capacitive technology (PCT™). The touch panels are designed to be mounted to the rear surface of a rigid transparent substrate (such as glass or plastic), and operated by touching the substrates front surface.
ZYFILM® is an optically transparent touch panel up to 30" in active diagonal intended for use in front of an LCD (when mounted to a suitable substrate).
ZYPROFILM® is touch panel incorporating an integrated rear projection substrate up to 82" in active diagonal intended for use with a rear projection system (no LCD required).
ZYFILM® and ZYPROFILM® are primarily intended for use in large format interactive digital signage and information systems found in applications such as retail, advertising and exhibitions.
Operation
The associated electronic controller effectively divides the sensor into pixel-sized sensing cells, using an array of embedded microfine metal track electrodes, which are not ITO (Indium Tin Oxide) based, and are virtually invisible when in front of a powered display or rear projection film. These tracks are connected to the electronic controller board, and an oscillation frequency is established for each track. Using the theory of capacitance field effect, a touch on the overlay substrate to which the sensor is mounted causes a change in the oscillating frequency of the tracks around that particular point; the position of which is then determined by the driver software. Unlike conventional capacitive systems where the operator touches the actual conducting surface of the sensor, the active component of ZYFILM® / ZYPROFILM® is embedded within the sensor panel and protected by the mounting substrate.
The driver software allows the touch sensor panel to interface with the host computer’s operating system by emulating the behavior of a computer mouse, and translates touches into mouse movements and clicks.
ZYFILM®and ZYPROFILM® are available with various surface preparations to facilitate bonding to the supporting substrate or window.
ZYSWITCH:
ZYSWITCH® is a robust, PCT™- based replacement for soft membrane switches. The capacitive sensing is completely solid state with no moving parts; this contributes to its high reliability and durability, which allows custom keypads to benefit from a zero wear-out mechanism and high resistance to scratches and physical or chemical damage.

ZYSWITCH® keypads can be customized to any shape or size required, ZYSWITCH® is suitable for applications that require a keypad or a number of up to 16 buttons, such as domestic appliances, elevator controls, and alarm systems.
ZYSWITCH® has two modes of output:
•Serial output: In this mode the ZYSWITCH® controller uses 1 output pin when the switch is touched. The switch number is transferred serially at 9600 baud, N81 (No parity, 8 Data Bits, 1 Stop Bit).
•Parallel output: In this mode the Controller uses 4 or 5 output pins, depending on the number of buttons, to indicate the binary code of the switch touched. The output is TTL logic.
